Alternative Software Limited is a long established, leading independent publisher, developer and distributor of games, for Console, PC, Mac, Mobile & Tablet and TV.

Originally AS was a computer games publishing company, buying the manufacturing, distribution and sales licences for games from other companies but then in 1986 the company quickly began developing their own games and creative products.

Currently, the business develops and publishes activity based software, being Paint and Creates, Print Studios Activity Studios and Creative Studios; as well as games for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS handheld systems.and PC. Of recent AS has started releasing games for the Apple devices (iPhone, iPod and iPad).

During the 80s and 90s, AS created a slew of commercially successful titles for numerous computer systems. More recently, it has enjoyed success with titles based on major film licenses, particularly The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hulk, Madagascar, Shrek, Ice Age, Wallace and Gromit, Spiderman and Transformers etc. AS has also had a sell-out success with several Top Forty Rugby video games. In addition Alternative develops quality bespoke, promotional software titles for major companies such as Hewlett Packard, Canon, Dell, Odeon Cinemas and Greencore Foods to name but a few.

Our aim is to work with developers to help them optimize their titles, and help them to reach their maximum sales potential, ensuring they have the quality to succeed in today’s market. Some of the existing brands we represent include: Rugby League Live, Don Bradman Cricket 14, Rugby Challenge, Lords of Football and PSA World Tour Squash amongst others!
