A studio opened under the BioWare name in 2009 to work on the Mass Effect franchise.

Formed in 2009, BioWare Montreal went through a carefully managed growth process that allowed BioWare to develop the unique culture that BioWare is known for.



BioWare Montreal assisted BioWare Edmonton with the Mass Effect series, by developing the downloadable content for the series. They would later become the main developer of Mass Effect: Andromeda.
