About

A studio formed from the merging of The Collective and Shiny Entertainment; though many of their releases have been movie tie-ins, they are best known for the Xbox One launch game Killer Instinct and the Strider reboot.

Double Helix is a game developer located in Irvine, California, formed when The Collective was merged with Shiny Entertainment. Their most recent releases is Killer Instinct for the Xbox One and a reboot of Strider for Capcom. They were working on an unannounced Warner Bros. Interactive title, which has presumably either been canceled or changed developer now.

On February 5th, 2014, it was announced that Double Helix and their owned properties had been purchased by the online retailer Amazon.
