Prope is an independent developer that is partially funded by Sega and led by Yuji Naka.

Prope (pronounced pro-pe) was founded by former Sonic Team member Yuji Naka, who has said he never intends to return to any of his old Sega properties. Their first game Let's Tap was released December 2008 and in Japan, and 2009 in the rest of the world. Their other game Let's Catch, was released at about the same time. Their next game Ivy the Kiwi? was released in 2010. 10% of the starting capital came from Sega, who holds the right of first refusal for every game Prope makes.
