About

Reality Twist emerged from the agency "snag multimedia" founded in 2000. It was founded by the producer duo Clemens Hochreiter and Thomas Wagner, who developed media projects in the 1990s that blur the boundaries between virtuality and reality.

Reality Twist gained particular notoriety with political, often documentary games on sometimes "heavy" topics such as dowry murders in India. The computer game "Generation Zero" co-financed by the Bavarian state triggered a political discussion about the use of swastikas in documentary games. The underlying question was nothing less than the extent to which computer games should be regarded as cultural assets. In this context, Reality Twist got the chance to present the game in the Reichstag and thus continue the discussion with members of the Bundestag. Another political novelty came with the serious game “The Secret of the Sky Disc” developed by Reality Twist for the Goethe Institute, which Federal President Gauck presented to Latvia in Riga as a gift.

In addition to Reality Twist GmbH, there is now a subsidiary (Reality Twist Fairy Dust UG) which develops props and hardware. In this way, input or output devices, interactive exhibits and props, e.g. built for use in exhibitions, simulators or escape games. Prototypes and small series are created in our own workshop. This includes a wood, electrical engineering and metal workshop. The workshop is equipped with modern CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, plotters, laser cutters and 3D printers.
