About

Savage Entertainment is an independent development studio that spun off from Activision in 1998, under the leadership of MechWarrior 2 veterans Tim Morten, John Lafleur, and Chacko Sonny.  They are joined by Ted Peterson, lead designer of Daggerfall, and Robert Stahl, art director of Cyberia and Pitfall 3D as well as Activision veterans Jack Burton, Sebastien Juanico, and Paul Waggonner.  Savage Entertainment was formed, setting up offices in a converted warehouse in Marina Del Rey, California. The group kept a low profile for the late 90's, applying themselves to development of the 3D Sabertooth Engine for the Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation2 game systems, and Windows compatible computers.

After working on their own engine Savage turned to porting games for Electronic Arts, Midway and LucasArts and lending a hand developing specialized levels and multiplayer modes for games like James Bond: Agent Under Fire, Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, Medal of Honor: Vanguard, and Blacksite: Area 51.

Their wholly designed and developed credits include: He-Man: Masters of the Universe: Defenders of Grayskull, Scooby-Doo: Who's Watching Who?, Transformers on PSP, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on PSP.
