About

SpectraVision was a videogame development and publishing company from the 1980's, known primarily for its Atari 2600 games

Spectravision was a US video game company that was founded in 1981. Due to a copyright claim by the OnCommand Hotel TV pay per view system, the company was renamed Spectravideo in 1982.

The company originally wrote games and developed hardware for the Atari 2600 and VIC-20. Atari software was released on cartridges and VIC-20 software was released on both analog cassette tapes and later, floppy disks. The company also produced the world's first ergonomic joystick, called the Quick Shot.
