Supercell is a video game company based in Helsinki, Finland. The company has focused on developing mobile freemium games.

A majority share in the company was acquired by two Japanese companies SoftBank and GungHO in October 2013 for a reported price of 1. 5 billion dollars.

In the summer of 2010, Supercell was born. Back then, the founders had no idea what the company would become. They just knew they wanted to make great games that people would play for years. To do so, they would create a new kind of gaming company.
