About

Code Monkeys was founded in Leeds, United Kingdom in 1989 by Colin Hogg and Mark Kirkby. On February 1st, 2011 the studio was closed.

Active for over 20 years in the gaming business, The Code Monkeys still occasionally pop into the charts, the most recent being PSP International Athletics which made #4 in the U. K charts in 2008, the early part of 2009 also saw Triple Shot Sports appear in the iPhone and iPod Touch top 20. Their port of GBA Castlevania to mobile was crtically acclaimed and Charlotte's Web was Sega mobile's second best seller at the time.

The portfolio of systems on which The Code Monkeys have been releasing their games reads like a history lesson in gaming. The systems include Timex Sinclair, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, C64, Amiga, Turbo Grafx 16, PC, Schneider, Game boy, Genesis, Mega Drive, Super Game boy, Sega Saturn, Mac, Win 95, Sega CD, 32 X, Playstation, Windows 98, Game Boy Colour, Game Boy Advance, Playstation 2, Mobile phones, Nintendo DS, NVIDIA GoForce 5500, Sony PSP and Iphone.
