Westwood Studios was best known for developing games in real-time strategy, RPG and adventure genres. The game studio got listed in Guinness World Records for selling over 10 million copies of Command & Conquer worldwide.

Owners of Westwood Studios were Virgin Interactive from 1992–1998 and Electronic Arts from 1998–2003.
