GameRankings and Metacritic gave it a score of 64.27% and 65 out of 100 for the PlayStation 2 version; 60.11% and 62 out of 100 for the Xbox version; 62.83% and 58 out of 100 for the PC version; and 53.86% and 61 out of 100 for the GameCube version.

The game was nominated for 2002 BAFTA award in category 'Best Children's Entertainment'.
