The Norwich Gaming Festival programme has been designed with three main purposes in mind:
To entertain the public with a wide range of gameplay experiences, including playable latest-gen devices, a retro arcade of consoles from the last 25 years, highscore competitions, and a showcase of award-winning independent games from around the world.
To promote and develop growth of the local games industry by exhibiting a range of games being made in the East of England, a gallery of game concept art created by local digital artists, and informative and inspiring presentations by a host of established, award-winning UK developers.
To educate the public about the creative and technical skills and processes involved in creating games through a range of live coding workshops and tutorials and the opportunity to participate in a mass public Raspberry Jam.
The Festival is held at The Forum, Norwich and is free for everyone, so dust off your controllers, keyboards remotes joy pads and get ready to play!
The Norwich Games Festival is a non-profit event run by The Forum Trust, the self-financing charitable organisation which manages The Forum building in Norwich. All money raised by the festival is invested back into the event.
