Baltic Game Industry (BGI) is a project (2017-2020) within the European regional development programme Interreg for the Baltic Sea Region (BSR). It develops practical solutions to strengthen the digital game industry in the Baltic Sea Region.
The strategy includes an improvement of framework conditions to attract young game companies, incubation capacity building for the sustainable support of start-ups and enlarging business opportunities for the game industry beyond entertainment.
22 partners from Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden are involved; the BGZ Berliner Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit mbH acts as lead partner.
The project Baltic Game Industry is financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund, within the programme Interreg Baltic Sea Region.
