We’re looking for a versatile 3D Artist with strong industrial design skills, outside of the box thinking, and a team first mentality. Our weapons cover a huge range of styles including modern military, fantasy, sci-fi, anime, horror, whimsical, etc. As such, strong skills in both hard surface and organic design are a must. Your MissionCreate concept art for weapons and other items – ranging from loose exploration models / sketches all the way to full rendered designs.Provide feedback and help solve problems in designs from vendors and other artistsWork in team environment to brainstorm ideas and directions for weapons, characters, etc.Work closely with other members of the weapons team to meet technical and functional requirements.Work closely with Art Directors and Lead Artists to ensure strong visual appeal. To succeed you should have…3+ Years experience in the games or film industry making weaponsExpert knowledge in common 3D software such as Blender, Zbrush, 3DS Max etc to facilitate concept creation.Demonstrates an understanding of industrial design principles and how to apply them to weapons.Demonstrates strong 3D modeling abilities as well as rendering, graphic design and iconography.Need a strong sense of material surfaces and ability to communicate that visually.Excellent understanding of mechanical function and purpose.Self-managing and able to identify and meet deadlines and goals.Fast and organized at researching and reference gathering.Excellent attention to design, detail, form and function.Must be a team player and collaborate with others.Have excellent communication skills and ability to work one on one, in groups, and with multiple departments and different personalities, always being proactive.Possess the ability to take direction and feedback from the team as well as contribute ideas.
