The Opportunity:Do you have a passion for creating flavorful, balanced meals that fuel high performance? If so, you could be the perfect fit for our Junior Cook position at Team Liquid in São Paulo.As a Junior Cook, you will work alongside the Senior Cook to prepare meals, organize the kitchen, manage ingredients, and ensure the quality and efficiency of food service. This includes maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, handling meal preparation, and coordinating food needs for events. This role is primarily on-site in São Paulo, Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with occasional weekend work as needed.What You’ll Be Doing:Meal PreparationAssist in preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to the Senior Cook’s instructions.Ensure food is sanitized and prepared for cooking, following established food safety protocols.Control food cooking time and temperature, ensuring quality and consistency.Organize and prepare meals for serving, ensuring portion sizes are appropriate and food waste is minimized.Kitchen OrganizationMaintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring utensils, equipment, and storage areas are kept tidy.Assist in controlling the stock of food and supplies, ensuring proper inventory management.Safely store food, and ensure products are rotated to minimize waste and spoilage.Wash and organize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.Purchasing & Stock ManagementAssist the Senior Cook in checking purchase orders and inventory.Organize food inputs in stock and ensure they are stored properly.Control the validity and freshness of products.Event PreparationAssist in the organization and preparation of internal events involving food, ensuring quality and efficiency.Adapt meal planning for large-scale events, ensuring consistency with schedules and attendance.Hygiene and Food SafetyFollow established hygiene and food safety standards, including maintaining a sanitized kitchen environment.Ensure food preparation areas meet regulatory standards and internal cleanliness policies.What You’ll Need:Basic experience in kitchen or food service environments.Familiarity of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods.Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently in a team setting.Organizational skills, ability to multitask, and ability to take initiative.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations, especially during large events.You'll Earn Bonus Points If You Have: Degree or certification in Gastronomy or related field.This is a position with a PJ (Pessoa Jurídica) type of contract.
