We are Highdive, a NetEase Games ThunderFire development studio from Montreal. Bond by no borders, we create games that let us dive into pure emotions, together.
Our team in Montreal is growing and we are looking for a QA Tester to help us write and execute test cases for multiple systems of our original project. Additionally, the role will help set up QA processes and reinforce best practices while working with various disciplines.
You will work closely with the QA Lead to manage test cases, own bug reporting and owning the quality gates to ensure we are shipping a game that our players will enjoy!

Responsibilities:
Create test cases with the support of senior QA testers for the features multiple stages while involving multiple disciplines.
Execute test cases by following test suites created by senior QA testers.
Support bug reporting and bug lifecycle management throughout different milestones.
Support best practices for bug reporting processes.
Work with multiple disciplines (designers, programmers) to support the validation of work being delivered.
Support in identifying risks in relation to deadlines, quality criteria and stability.
Build reporting around quality KPIs and adapt test runs accordingly.
Report to the QA Lead and help them implement their vision while recommending improvements if needed.
Qualifications:
At least 1+ year of experience in executing and maintaining test plans is a must.
At least 1+ years developing a technical understanding of video game testing is a must.
Effective written and verbal communication regarding bug reporting is a must.
Experience validating a game through its multiple stages is a preferred.
Experience using test case management tools (Zephyr, PractiTest, TestRail) is preferred.
Experience with managing bug reporting through a ticketing solution (ex.: JIRA) is preferred.
Experience in working as an embedded member to facilitate validation efforts is a plus.
Understanding of video game development through a game engine (Unreal, Unity) is a plus.
