This role is offered on a full in-studio basis or a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days per week in the studio). WHAT'S THE ROLE?We are looking for a Senior UI Developer who will be responsible for creating compelling and responsive user interfaces across multiple platforms. They will take ownership of specific areas within the game, which include the planning and estimation of related tasks. Their passion for developing UI components, screens and problem solving is pivotal to deliver the quality that the team strives for, in all our games. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGDevelop quality UI code across various projects and platforms. Review existing and new code additions to the game. Contribute to the development of our codebase and tools. Work closely with the Designers and Artists, seeking feedback and iterating on UI screens. Works closely with their team to understand problems and collaboratively develop smart solutions. Establish a strong relationship with the gameplay and UI design team to ensure seamless and effective integration of UI into the project. Provide UI expertise to help, mentor and coach more junior members of the team. Manage and communicate risks throughout the development process. WHAT YOU'LL BRINGFamiliarity with at least one high-level language, E.g. C#, LUA, JS, Haxe, AS3 or Java. Experience with or knowledge of languages' debugging tools and knowing how to use them to diagnose bugs. Resilient under pressure with the ability to remain calm and make important decisions. Awareness of the performance constraints real-time applications have and has some experience profiling and optimizing their code. Comfortable weaving assets provided by Designers and Artists into new or existing UI's. A quick learner who is willing to adapt to new tools and frameworks. Multiple shipped game titles or experience on a long running games franchise. BONUS IF YOU HAVEKnowledge of motion design. Familiarity with TypeScript. Familiarity with console development. React/Preact experience.
