We believe in creating an inclusive world inside and outside of our games for our players and our team.We are looking for an experienced UI Technical Artist/Technical Experience Designer to join the Skate team. You will report to the Technical Experience Design Lead. As a Technical Experience Designer you will work with UX designers, visual designers, artists and engineers in diverse feature teams and report into our Technical Experience Design Lead. You will break down designs into smaller pieces to create building blocks to build the game's UI and work with UX and visual designers to prototype and implement, and iterate. You will work with a team to set and advocate for best practices and create workflows to allow iterative development.ResponsibilitiesYou will implement screens, widgets, logic and data flows to design specifications using visual scripting, data tools, and editors.You will prove out and advocate for best practices for UI architectureYou will work with our designers and engineers to determine design, technical and data requirementsYou will break-down features into defined structures, components, and processes that meet the technical, aesthetic, and functional requirements of the game's visionYou will implement UI animation and motion of prepared screen assets to support interaction and motion guidelinesYou will prepare and document components to be used by our designers and engineersRequirements2-3 years experience from games, applications or web development.Experience owning the prototyping, development and maintenance UI features from concept to releaseShipped at least 1 title as a UI Technical Designer, UI Technical Artist, UI Scripter or similar roleExperience working in a collaborative and cross-discipline environmentProficiency with Visual Scripting or Programming/Scripting languages such as C++, C# and LUAPassion for Games and UICOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). PAY RANGES* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$100,000 - $139,500 CADIn British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
