Camelot is a second party developer of Nintendo, mostly famous for their work on the Shining Force and Mario Sports titles.

The Company got it's start as a development house at Sega, known as Sega CD4, (Consumer Development Studio #4). The studio changed its name to Sonic! Software Planning with the establishment of the Shining Force series for the Genesis, Sega CD and Saturn. After the completion of Shining Force III Camelot joined with Nintendo in 1998. They would release their first title, Mario Golf and Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color shortly thereafter. Camelot has continued to develop games for Nintendo systems, including the Golden Sun RPG series. In 2012, the company made a new Mario Tennis game, Mario Tennis Open.
